John Wycliffe
"Daybreak!" is a 30 minute production based on a one act play by Freddy Boswell dealing with the life of John Wycliffe. "Daybreak!" is ideal for a church congregation, school assembly or classroom, or a civic study group. You will gain insight into England’s greatest reformer and the impact of Scripture in his life.
John Wycliffe is credited with being the first to head a team that translated the Scriptures into the English language. His life is set in the turbulent 14th century, which was a time of grave catastrophe brought by the bubonic plague, notable church upheaval and the beginnings of major reformation.
He is identified in history as “The Morning Star of the Protestant Reformation” because his work was instrumental in laying the major groundwork for the radical changes, which came to Christian Europe.
His historical reflections on his church’s inadequacies are shown to provide the historical background necessary to understand the importance of Scripture in a language that all can understand.

William Tyndale
Written by Evan Underbrink, "In Tyndale's Tomb" is a 30 minute dramatized story of William Tyndale's words living on.
William Tyndale, contemporary with Martin Luther, completed the translation of the first printed English New Testament in 1526. He had the benefit of the invention of the printing press. He also had Desiderius Erasmus’ completed revision of the Latin scriptures and his Greek New Testament translation to work from.
Subsequent Mathew’s Bible, Coverdale Bible, and Great Bible translations were based heavily on Tyndale, and his handiwork is also seen in the King James Bible. Like Wycliffe before him, his translation work helped English language development and the spread of literacy. Henry VIII finally reels Tyndale in and you see him in Vilvorde Castle in Belgium as he awaits his execution.
